Review and Giveaway: The Last Boyfriend by J.S. Cooper

Lucky Morgan has had her heart broken for the last time. The next time she gets involved with someone it will be the last time. She sets forth a plan and is determined to follow it through. The next guy will be her “Last Boyfriend” ever. This isn’t as easy as it may seem especially when she has one customer who is absolutely gorgeous and sits in her section every single Friday night, with a new date each week as well.

Zane Beaumont isn’t looking for any type of permanent relationship. He is attracted to Lucky, but has decided to not get involved with her. Well, that is until one night at a party he catches her with Braydon and makes it his business to keep Lucky away from him. When her car breaks down on the way home from the same party, Zane sees his opening and pushes his way into her life and starts to sweep Lucky off her feet. Will Lucky have found her “Last Boyfriend”; or will she face heartbreak once again by allowing Zane into her life and possibly her heart?
From the beginning you wonder why Zane hates Braydon so much. Is it because he is playing with a new toy Zane wants and Zane is now jealous; or is it because there is something more going on? While Zane’s approach and attitude at times makes you want to smack him upside the back of his fictional head, you can tell there is more to him than meets the eye.

Lucky has had shitty relationships in the past and some guys have the wrong idea about who and what she is. When Zane makes her an offer that she would be stupid to refuse, she knows that she needs to guard herself emotionally. When things between her and Zane heat up, she hopes that he will begin to want her for more than just sex. Can she set aside her “Last Boyfriend” rules and allow herself to be with Zane even if it’s not forever?

I enjoyed reading The Last Boyfriend, I think this is going to end up being one of those happy, fill your heart with hope, type series that will remind you that good guys really do exist in the world and you can find the right person to allow into your life and into your heart. I will end this review with a quote that I hope reflects this.

“I would rather have a month, or a week, or even a day with you than no time at all. There is something about you that makes my heart soar. I’m addicted to you. Your smell drives me crazy. Your kisses make me wild. And your smile makes me believe in angels. I don’t need a promise of tomorrow when I’m with you, because today is all that matters.”

J. S. Cooper will give one lucky person an ebook of “The Last Boyfriend”. To enter please leave a comment below along with your email address so the winner can be notified.

  1. I love the quote that at the end of the review…makes me go 'awww” and then hit my hubby for NOT saying that stuff to me! LOL!
