Review: Razer’s Ride by Jamie Begley

Beth Cornett is the town good girl.  Staying out of the way of the motorcycle club’s dangerous members was a no brainer. Unfortunately, she manages to catch the eye of Razer, who has every intention of tempting her to take him on despite her misgivings. When her worst fears are realized, she is left heartbroken, determined to forget her walk on the wild side.

Razer was not going to change for any woman, not even Beth. Their lifestyles were too different; betrayed she ran. Realizing his mistake too late; she was not about to forgive and forget. It takes a killer intent on targeting Beth to bring her back to him and The Last Riders for protection. Razer may have learned his lesson, but this time, as long as she is at the club, she has to play by their rules.

Beth is a good Christian woman.  She takes care of her adopted sister and won’t let anything hurt her, not anymore that is.  Beth’s pastor father made her believe when she was growing up that everything would lead her to hell if she didn’t behave at all times, but secretly she wanted to rebel and did in small amounts but nothing too over the top.  When she sees The Last Riders ride by her she knows that she shouldn’t be scared but at times acts like she can’t get to safety quick enough.  However, when she encounters Razer, there is just something about him that she is drawn too.
Beth did tend to get on my nerves at times when she would act very judgmental towards the women of the club or the guys too.  Her sheltered life made her apprehensive about a lot of things that she saw.
Razer, what can I say about him besides he is a man whore who doesn’t want to settle down ever, loves the sexual freedom the club provides and he participates frequently with all the sexual acts that go on.  He straight up tells Beth that no woman will ever control his dick, and man does he prove his point in the worst way.  He hurts Beth big time, then basically doesn’t even care.  Razer knows deep down he screwed up, but being a typical male does he try to fix things right away?  Nope, not Mr. Man Whore.  He waits, and he finally works his way back into her life and her into his bed.
Good God Damn he is hot in bed.  When everything finally seems like Razer will change and want a true relationship with Beth, what does he do?  Yep you guessed it, he fucks up again!  Now personally ladies, if I was Beth, good Christian woman or not, Razer would have been needing penis reattachment surgery for his latest stunt, but that’s just what I would do.  Or maybe a good Carrie Underwood Before He Cheats moment would be appropriate here hmmmm.  Anyways I shall move on.  When Razer’s eyes are opened about Beth’s past he fears that she will never forgive him or take him back, the entire club learns about what has happened and it effects them all.
Beth, while still timid has changed.  Some of her new biker babe friends help bring her out of her depression about Razer.  I especially loved Crazy Bitch.  Could be that her crazy ass reminds me of me but we won’t go there.  When Razer gets Beth alone and they are able to work everything out, I was like thank you lord he finally has pulled his head out of his ass.  It’s his tattoo that sealed it for me.

I enjoyed this book.  I think that it will be a good start to a new series that has the potential of being great if written write.  I love biker books, some of my favorites are not your typical happily ever after ones either, but raw and rough and full of heart break, and Razer’s Ride is one of those types for sure.
