About LISTEN TO ME: In New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Kristen Proby’s brand new series, five best friends open a hot new restaurant, but one of them gets much more than she bargained for when a sexy former rock star walks through the doors—and into her heart. Seduction is quickly becoming the hottest new restaurant in Portland, and Addison Wade is proud to claim 1/5 of the credit. She’s determined to make it a success and can’t think of a better way to bring in new customers than live music. But when former rock star Jake Keller swaggers through the doors to apply for the weekend gig, she knows she’s in trouble. Addie instantly recognizes him—his posters were plastered all over her bedroom walls in high school—he’s all bad boy…exactly her type and exactly what she doesn’t need. Jake Keller walked away from the limelight five years ago and yearns to return to what’s always driven him: the music. If he gets to work for a smart-mouthed, funny-as-hell bombshell, all the better. But talking Addie into giving him the job is far easier than persuading her that he wants more than a romp in her bed. Just when she begins to drop her walls, Jake’s past finally catches up with him. Will Addie be torn apart once again or will Jake be able to convince her to drown out her doubts and listen to her heart?   Author Pic - Kristen ProbyAbout Kristen Proby: New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Kristen Proby is the author of the popular With Me in Seattle series. Review: The Chaser Series: Tag Chaser & Song Chaser By: Kandi Steiner

Paisley Bronson is a 27 year old successful advertising professional, but the most exciting part of her life happens outside of work. Claiming the life of a tag chaser toward the end of her college career has taught her one thing – never get too close. She has enjoyed her dating lifestyle, but when her best friend makes a bet that she won’t ever be able to date a normal guy, her competitive nature takes control and she vows to change the game.

When Paisley meets the incredibly handsome and practically perfect Corbin Ray, she begins to think keeping her word might be easier than she thought. But when an accidental discovery reveals that Corbin is in the Army, she knows she must run the other way and never look back. Although it kills her, she aims to move on and look for a new prospect.

There’s just one small problem.

Paisley’s been assigned a new client at work, and his name is Corbin Ray.

Will Paisley and Corbin give in to the chemistry between them, or will their past and present complications keep them apart?

Immerse yourself in this fun and irresistibly naughty game of cat and mouse.

A “Tag Chaser” is something that anyone who has been in the military or has married someone who is military hates.  Why?  Because they are only after a military man or woman, they won’t date a civilian and most of the time they have an agenda on becoming a more permanent part of the military member’s life.  Tag chasers are not only hated, but they are also kind of like a barrack bunny, also known as a whore.  And yes if you didn’t know this about me, my husband was in the military and I was a military wife so tag chasers I had to deal with.
Now you are thinking that I am going to just straight up bash this book don’t you based on that little rant above?  Well let me be very clear here.  I really liked the book.  Yes I liked a tag chaser but let me explain why.  Paisley, while yes she is a tag chaser there is a lot more to who she is.  She uses her “tag chasing” to protect herself.  Her reasoning behind why she is like this is both understandable and stupid at the same time.  It’s her reasoning that made me not love the book.  Paisley has issues and instead of trying to deal with them she chases after military men and cuts them lose after about a week or so.  She makes a bet with her best friend that she could stop tag chasing and she is bound and determined to win that bet, well that is until she meets Corbin.  And you guessed it he’s military, but he is also a lot more.
Corbin wants to have a relationship with Paisley but he doesn’t know about her past.  He really is a sweet guy and has some of the best date ideas ever.  I want a Corbin of my own.  Is he perfect?  Hell no.  He has his own secrets that he should have been up front about but wasn’t and when he learns of Paisley’s tag chasing past he is of course pissed off but adding to the situation is Paisley’s other best friend Tanner.  And let me tell you he stirs up the hornet’s nest that is for sure.

I really liked Tag Chaser and it just fell a tad bit short from me loving it.  I really was drawn in to see how this relationship was going to play out.  It held my interest and I wasn’t cursing every five minutes asking myself why in the hell am I reading this (happens more than you think lol).  So if you are looking for a cute story, one that will make you want a tag chaser get her guy, then this one is for you!

For more than a year, Tanner West has tried to shake his feelings for his long time best friend, Paisley Bronson. She was the perfect girl to fit the lyrics in all his favorite songs – the girl he had always wanted. When she fell in love with another man before Tanner had the chance to tell her how he felt, he was left with no resolve to find love again. Burying himself in school and easy girls has become his new lifestyle, but when Kellee Brooks shows up at his favorite bar, he begins to think there may be another verse to his song, after all.
Kellee Brooks moved to New York City for one thing: escape. Growing up in a small town where her entire life was planned out for her, she’s desperate to break free and find herself without following the same path as her mom. Kellee thought working at the local dive bar would mean more money for school, but when she meets the smoldering, scarred honey eyes of Tanner West, she finds there’s much more hiding in the smoky building than just a few tips.
With Paisley still haunting Tanner and Kellee vowing to save anyone the trouble of loving her, will the pain and fear keep them apart – or will they find a way to rewrite their song together?
Break free with this heartbreaking story of letting go and letting love in.

We first meet Tanner in Tag Chaser and I will admit I was on the fence about him and how he acted at some points.  (Read the first book because I won’t tell you what he did silly).  So when I began this book I already had this opinion of him and it wasn’t a good one.
Tanner wormed his way into my heart.  I felt so bad for him to be honest, he was miserable and didn’t know how to get passed what he was feeling.  When he started his relationship with Kellee he straight up told her he couldn’t make promises.  I began to think that he wouldn’t screw this up because he knows how much it hurts when your heart breaks but of course he ends up doing something so stupid, not once but twice and I wasn’t sure if he was going to have a happy ending after all.  I wanted to slap him silly and hold him and give him a hug at the same time.
Kellee had her own issues that she was going through so every time Tanner would screw up it hurt her even more.  Trust me Kellee needed her own slap and hug situation a couple of times but sometimes you have to make those mistakes to have your eyes opened and for Kellee it came when her heart was breaking.

I loved this one so much more than book one.  The angst alone kept me from wanting to put the book down because I had to see how their story would play out.  Ms. Steiner has a new fan, she is one that I will be on the lookout for in the future.  If you are looking for a great romance that isn’t perfect, angsty, one that will break your heart and repair it again then pick up Song Chaser, I think you will like it.

Tanner West has been through a lot when it comes to his best friend, Paisley Bronson. From being there through her dark past to falling in love with her while she fell for someone else, their story is far from perfect. After Tanner found his true love in Kellee Brooks, things began to fall into place. But when Paisley calls Tanner with surprising news, asking him to step up to the best friend plate once again, he must decide if he’s up for the challenge.
This is a short story bromance and should be read after Tag Chaser and Song Chaser.

Blog Tour & Giveaway: Blind Obsession by Ella Frank

Heart Wrenching
This has to be one of the most haunting books I’ve ever read. From the very first you know it’s going to end badly. You know this. You fell it in your bones, yet you have to read it. You can’t stop. It’s like watching a train wreck. It’s going to hurt to watch it, but you can’t look away. You have to know. YOU. HAVE. TO. KNOW.
As I was reading this story, I was sucked into a world that I’ve only glimpsed before. A world where artists live. One is a musician and one is a painter. They live life full of passion and embrace it as only those who live passionately can. They love. The feel. They obsess. No one can understand them unless they live it. Watching it, talking about, hearing about it is not enough. You have to live it to understand it.
This is what Gemma does. She embraces Chantel’s life and lives the last few months of her life with Phillippe. She does this to learn his story. The world knows Chantel’s story, or at least they think they do. Now Gemma is here to learn the truth. To tell the world the truth. But what is the truth? Who knows the truth?
Gemma comes to France to live for a few months with Phillippe. She comes at his request. He wants to tell his story of Chantel and what happened to her. In order to do this, Gemma lives with Phillippe. She reads Chantel’s diary. She talks with Phillippe.
What Gemma doesn’t expect is to fall in love. What she doesn’t expect is who she falls in love with.
I loved this story. It will stick with me long after I’m done reading it. It’s haunting. It’s tragic. It’s heart wrenching like no other story I’ve read.
As I read this story my heart went out to Phillippe, Gemma and Chantel. But even though I found it heart wrenching, I couldn’t cry for them. And I’m a crier. I’ll boo hoo with the best of them. So, why didn’t I cry as I read this one? I couldn’t. As heart wrenching as this story is, I couldn’t. I knew what was coming. I saw it. I didn’t know exactly how it was going to happen, but I knew it was going to. It haunted me. It made my heart hurt for them. But there were no tears. There can be no tears. It’s hard to explain.
Ella Frank did an amazing job of writing a story that is haunting, eerie, beautiful and passionate all at once. It can have no happy ending. There is no way for this end with a happily ever after. It can’t. For it to end any other way would be a betrayal.
It’s erotic. It’s beautiful. It’s haunting.
