Release Blitz: Raber Wolf Pack Book Two By Ryan Michele

“There will come a time in our world when greed, power, and wealth will overrule good judgment, and packs will be destroyed.”
In the blink of an eye, everything can change, altering life as we know it forever.
Kenly’s intuition told her not to go, but she didn’t listen.
Being human, Kenly never had contact with the wolves that lived in Lakeside. One night changes that in a horrific way, opening her eyes to all of the secrets hidden from her over the years.
One night opens doors she never realized existed, transforming her entire world.
As Beta of the Raber Wolf Pack, Max is always in control, until one mission leads him to a bleeding woman in an alley.
Max instantly scents Kenly as his mate, creating tension within the pack and unleashing consequences that he doesn’t how to contain.
Will Max be able to pull her through the upcoming events? If Kenly survives, will she return to her human life and leave Max behind?

Raber Wolf Packbook two has the same action with a side of romance and some funny moments we found in the previous book.  This is going to be short and quick because I don’t want to give anything away.
I loved Max, he was the perfect mix of alpha, well technically beta if you want to be specific, sexy, dominant, protector, and wolf.  He knew that Kenly was his mate but he had more at stake then just convincing her that they were meant to be.  Nope not gonna give it away sorry folks.  I will say this, Kenly did tend to get on my nerves a little, more than once I wanted to just either slap some sense into her or just shake the living hell out of her, but in the end she grew on me.   I love how everything is slowly starting to come together, we still have questions that need to be answered but I have a feeling we haven’t seen nothing yet.

“Well Ryan Michele, you’ve done it again. You’ve written another unbelievably awesome story and sequel known as Raber Wolf Pack: Book Two. I bow down at your epicness!” ~ Southern Vixen Book Obsession

“Ryan Michele sent me through the woods of suspense. Alphas, magic, shifters and very growl worthy scenes. I am ready for more from Ryan Michele.” ~ Goodreads Reviewer

Ryan Michele has a huge obsession with reading, which only came to life after her best friend said she had to read Twilight. After reading that series, her entire world changed in the blink of an eye. Not only was she sucked into new worlds and all of the wonderful words authors put down on paper, she felt the urge to begin to write down the characters that played inside of her head. In doing so, Safe was born. When she’s not reading or writing, she spends time taking care of her two children and her husband, enjoying the outdoors and laying in the sun.

Review: Accidentally Wolf By: Elle Boon

ELLE BOON REVIEW TOUR

Accidentally WolfFor veterinarian Cora Welch, being bitten by a young injured wolf wasn’t the best day of her life, nor the raging fever that followed. However, finding herself faced with a naked man proved even more than she had ever bargained for. Zayn couldn’t believe what his inner wolf was telling him when he first saw the human doctor Cora, standing in nothing but a towel. The last thing he wanted was a mate, especially an accidental one. And at a time when danger seemed to be coming at the Mystic Pack from an unknown source, it just wasn’t in his plans. All he had to do was get Cora through the fever, keep her safe from the other pack, and keep his fangs to himself. But nobody told him he’d have to fight a mating urge so strong within himself, that it was a losing battle. Now, he has to explain to Cora that he accidentally marked her for a second time, making her just like him. Cora knew something was not right in her world the moment she wanted to climb her rescuer like a tree. Hearing Zayn tell her she was now a werewolf, like him and his pack, she realized she now had a home. If her new mate still wanted her after he heard about her family, Cora knew she’d be happy to be an accidental wolf.

I have always been a fan of paranormal books. Vampire, shifters, demons love them all. So when I had the opportunity to read a shifter book I said sign me right up! I read it the same day that it hit my kindle, and for me who usually has a ton of books to read for reviews or just for pleasure, that should tell you how bad I needed a good paranormal read at that moment, and Accidentally Wolf didn’t disappoint. It was a quick, funny, sexy read that I read in one sitting.

I love how Cora became an accidental wolf and her past made me feel for her even more because she didn’t think Zayne wouldn’t want her because of it and his response was perfect. Zayne was a little aggravating at the beginning, but let’s be serious here for a minute shall we, what male is ever not aggravating at times. Not a single one. While he may have been aggravating at first that quickly went away and that is one sexy wolf.

I have a new series that I am going to be reading and if the rest of the Mystic Wolves series is as good as Accidentally Wolf was, well then this reviewer will be one happy gal.

 Excerpt

No stranger to touching herself, Cora needed relief. For every beat of her heart, she felt an echo between her legs. She sucked two fingers into her mouth and swirled her tongue around each digit before reaching under her lace briefs. Her body jerked as she unerringly touched her swollen clit. “Oh, yes,” she whispered. Trailing her fingers down farther, she gathered more of her own juices and rubbed in small circles, not wanting to come too quick. A male groan shattered the otherwise silent room. Cora stilled her fingers, and her head turned toward the hallway leading to the bedrooms. Standing in a pair of loose sweats was Zayn. His eyes seemed to glow from the moonlight shining through the huge picture window, but his gaze didn’t meet hers. No, they were focused on where her fingers were. Instead of being embarrassed, she decided to give him a show. With her free hand, she pushed the lacy fabric down, exposing what she was doing to his rapt attention. She used one hand to open herself up, showing him how wet she was, then retraced her fingers to her opening, plunging two fingers into her pussy. She couldn’t hold back the cry from how good it felt to be filled by anything, even her own fingers. Her eyes slid closed, unable to watch to see if he enjoyed the show. She pumped in and out with one hand, using the heel to rub her clit. “Fuck,” she panted. She was on the edge of orgasm when her hand was removed to be replaced by Zayn’s tongue. “What are you doing?” Cora asked, near the edge. “You taste so good.” Even though he didn’t answer, she didn’t care. She wanted to come. God, when was the last time she needed to come this badly? She ran her hand through his hair, amazed at how soft it was. “Don’t stop, please, don’t stop.” A rumble was her answer, and then he pressed two of his fingers into her. She forgot all about his hair or hers. She was all about sensation. She screamed as she came harder than she’d ever come in her life, but it wasn’t enough. She wanted, no, she needed, more than his fingers filling her. “Zayn, I need you. Please, please, don’t leave me. I’m begging you to fuck me. Now.” In the bright light of the day, she knew she was going to kick her own ass for the whining and begging, but at that moment she didn’t care. Her body was like a living flame, ready to burst into a million pieces if he didn’t fuck her. “You don’t know what you’re asking. It’s just the fever. Here, let me take care of you.” When Zayn rubbed his fingers on her oversensitive clit, Cora tried to pull away. With strength that shocked her, she flipped their positions, sitting astride Zayn with only a thin pair of sweats separating their bodies. She grabbed the hem of her tank and jerked it above her head, loving the way his blue eyes riveted to her breasts. Her nipples had always been sensitive to the touch, but with his gaze tracking her fingers as she pinched them into tighter points, they became hard peaks. She ground her wet core against his extremely hard erection, an erection that would’ve scared her if she was in her right mind, but she was hornier than she’d ever been. “If you don’t want to take care of me, then I will just go out and find me another man who wants me, Zayn.” With each word she rubbed up and down his shaft. He growled and reversed their positions so fast her head swam. “Mine,” he growled. The deep rumble had her pussy quivering in need. The impatient way he shoved his sweats down and kicked them off had excitement flooding her system. The vision of a naked and erect Zayn made Cora wetter, if that was even possible. She spread her legs wider in a display of wanton need. “Then take me, Zayn.” She wasn’t sure what she’d expected. Being flipped on her stomach and onto her hands and knees wasn’t it. Again, she didn’t care as long as he filled her. The sound of foil ripping open almost made her whimper at the loss. She wanted to have his seed bathing her insides and shook her head. “Are you changing your mind?” Cora looked over her shoulder. “What? No, hurry for the love of God.” With that, Zayn wasted no time, and for that Cora was pleased. If she had more time to think on her irrational thoughts, she wasn’t sure she’d have wanted to continue. Of course that was before he began. Zayn surged into her in one thrust, filling her to the point of pain. “Damn, you’re so fucking tight. Don’t move.” That was a truly laughable thing for him to say. Cora felt like someone had shoved a two by ten into her. She literally froze, hoping he’d back out slowly without ripping her in half. Her arms shook from the strain of holding herself up. How long would it take for him to go soft and get out? “I’m sorry I hurt you. Just hold still. Your body will adjust,” he grunted. “You’re not the one with a fucking baseball bat shoved up your hoo-ha.” Zayn laughed. “Relax, baby. I promise to make you feel good.” He reached between their bodies and touched Cora’s clit, but she jerked away. “Don’t do that, honey.” The endearment made Cora feel special and eased some of her tension even though she knew it was silly. “That’s it.” Zayn strummed her clit.

Elle BoonAuthor Bio I’m a wife and mother who is a retired stay at home mom of 2. I say retired because my youngest is 14 and my oldest is 20. When my baby went to school, reading saved my sanity, and then the same year he started school, I was diagnosed with Cancer, again reading saved my sanity. When I recovered and realized how quickly life could change, I made a bucket list. The number one thing was to live. Check. On top of that list was to become a published author. Check. Eight years later I have accomplished that goal and several others. I live in the Midwest, but I”m a southern girl with only a slight twang who says y’all quite frequently, and am known to say “Bless Your Heart” A LOT. If you know what that means, you do not want to be the one I say that to, lol. I cuss worse than if a trucker and a sailor were put together, but I do it with class *WEG*. I write what I love to read, erotic romance. My books are definitely full of lots of story, but I leave nothing to the imagination in or out of the bedroom. My hope is that after readers have read one of my stories, they fall in love with the characters as much as I have. The best part of my new journey is that I get to create new worlds, and have all kinds of stories in my head just waiting to be written. I truly love to hear from readers. Blog Tour: Shoot For The Moon By Rochelle Paige

Shoot for the Moon BT Banner.jpg
shoot for the moon cover.JPGEliza Reve knows that her ability to dream of future events sets her apart from others. Her gift became a curse when she wasn’t able to save her mother or the alpha’s son and she found herself exiled – a lone wolf. When she joins the Black River Pack, Eliza vows never to reveal her talent to anyone. Not even the man who has walked in her dreams for years.

Spencer Tate is her mate, but her visions have told her that he will renounce her. When he doesn’t recognize her as his mate, she agrees to the no-strings-attached affair he offers because she thinks it’s the most she can hope for. Although her heart breaks as she falls deeper in love with him, she wants to spend as many days with Spencer as possible before he kicks her out of his life.

When Spencer finally comes to his senses, he has his work cut out for him to convince Eliza that he wants her forever. When another she-wolf insists she’s his mate instead, things get even more complicated. But Spencer isn’t the alpha’s second and enforcer because he isn’t willing to fight for what’s his, and he refuses to settle for anything less than Eliza as his marked and claimed mate.

This is book two in the Black River Pack series. Each novella will feature a different couple.
Eliza is cautious about not just her heart but also her ability to have visions and the impact on others that they cause.  Her visions have shown her pain, death and heartbreak.  She has seen her future with Spencer and she is scared to open her heart fully.  I could totally understand her fears based on her past, but she should have opened up to Spencer a lot sooner.
Spencer knows that he messed up, boy does he ever know and is suffering for his mistake.  He is determined to show Eliza that she can trust him, love him, everything.  He wants his mate and is willing to be patient, well as patient as a male wolf can be.  I loved Spencer, he is one sexy wolf that’s for damn sure.
If I thought that Crying Wolf was explosive with the sexual chemistry, well then Shoot For The Moon is a step below from a nuclear explosion because this is one hot book.  But it is also so much more.  It is about acceptance of someone different, forgiving someone you love for have hurting you and it is about trusting that that same person won’t ultimately hurt you once more.  I knew going in that Shoot For The Moon would be a more angst filled emotional read because of the circumstances and once again I couldn’t put it down once I started.  I am impatiently awaiting for Thrown To The Wolves to be released, which is the next book and one I can’t wait to take a bite out of once I get my greedy reviewer hands on it.  I really hope that Ms. Paige writes more shifter books in her future because she is doing a damn good job so far.
Excerpt:
“You’re in my fucking bed, Eliza. You don’t need to wait until you have solid intel. You come to me the instant something’s wrong,” I argued.
“And say what?” she asked. “‘I think Grace is in trouble because I had a dream about her’? Bullshit! The second I laid that on you, you would have been out of my bed quick as a flash. You’ve had one foot out of it since the second you decided you wanted in. You made that damn clear to me when we started this.”
“If you’d ever actually shared what was going on in that head of yours before tonight, then I would have had you mated, marked, and claimed so fast your head would have fucking spun,” I bit out. “Instead of being an ass because I was so fucking pissed off you made me feel things I was only supposed to feel for my mate.”

Author Bio:

I absolutely adore reading – always have and always will. My friends growing up used to tease me when I would trail after them, trying to read and walk at the same time. If I have downtime, odds are you will find me reading or writing.

I am the mother of two wonderful sons who have inspired me to chase my dream of being an author. I want them to learn from me that you can live your dream as long as you are willing to work for it.

When I told my mom that my new year’s resolution was to self-publish a book in 2013, she pretty much told me “About time!”

Review: Crying Wolf By: Rochelle Paige

4 Stars!
Running from her crazy and abusive ex-boyfriend, who is also a cop, Grace knows it will only be a matter of time before he finds her.  So far she has been able to run for months but she needs money and wants to settle down.  She ends up in a town of shifters, the only thing she has no idea that werewolves or shifters period exist.  Luckily, she lands up working for the Alpha of the Black River Pack, who unknown to her is her mate.
Hunter doesn’t want any non-shifters working in his bar.  When he finds out that his brother hired a human, let’s just say he is far from happy. Well that is until he realizes that she is his mate.  He can sense immediately that she is on the run from danger and will need to take his time with her.  He knows that she wants him too, but he is losing his patience taking things slow.  When her safety is placed at risk he wastes no time claiming Grace for his mate.
I couldn’t put Crying Wolf down once I had started it.  I love shifter books, and to have it be by one of my favorite must reads authors was just another plus in my book.  Hunter and Grace are what each other needs.  Grace needs someone to protect her at all costs, and Hunter needs his mate, add in that she is his destiny and that makes it even better.  The sexual chemistry between these two is explosive and it was only a matter of time before there would be a reaction that had me wishing I was Grace.  Did I mention he is Alpha of his pack?  Yeah for this reviewer that just makes him more panty melting in my opinion.

Crying Wolf is the first novella in this series and for it being the starting book it is smoking hot, addictive and it leaves you wanting more.  I want the next one now.  You are introduced to who the next couple is and I am anxiously waiting to see how it plays out.  Shifter fans, Rochelle Paige fans, and anyone looking for a quick steamy read will not be disappointed with Crying Wolf.

Review: Predator’s Claim by Rosanna Leo

Each one of the Gemini Island Shifters series just gets better and better. Each one is a bit more intense, more romantic. Maybe it’s because I know the characters from earlier books so I feel a certain connection to them, maybe it’s being more invested in the series, who knows. I just know I like each one a little bit more than the last one.
We’ve watched Bart and Charlotte circle each other in the past stories. It’s about time they finally got it together and got together. We finally find out why Charlotte keeps everyone at arm’s length. It’s a heart-wrenching story. Don’t worry, nothing violent happened to her, she just had heartache early on and it left an impression on her.
We also get to see Bart finally take charge. He’s been surly, grumpy and basically a bear to everyone around him. Everyone at the lodge knows why he’s so surly. They just need to get Bart to realize why.
Everything comes to a head and Bart does what he must. He protects his pack and Charlotte. He would do anything for them. Anything.
I love Bart and Charlotte. I was so glad to get their story. They’ve been avoiding each other and snarking at each other for the longest time. It was wonderful to see them get together. And they were amazingly hot together. Bart is an alpha-wolf all the way around, in the bedroom and out of it. All that alpha-maleness led to an explosive joining of Bart of Charlotte. I thought my kindle was going to burn up.

I’m loving this series. I can’t wait for the next one. I’m really curious which story we’re getting next.

Review: Freakn’ Cougar by Eve Langlais

So, this time we’re back with the main family. The snarky family. The family that doesn’t let anything go. They’re freakn’ awesome. This time around we have Stu. He’s being arrested by the lovely Patricia. We met her in an earlier story. Stu is being arrested in order to help figure out who is killing shifters in prison. In order to do that, he’s going undercover with another shifter. They both figure out that Patricia is their mate. So, now Stu has to share his mate with another man. He’s not thrilled.
Patricia is reluctant to believe that she has not only one mate but two. See, she was already mated and lost her mate. Why would fate give her another one or two?
I really liked this story. We have two men who are vying for Patricia’s attention. They’re in prison to figure out who’s killing shifters and they’re trying so hard to seduce a woman who doesn’t want to be seduced.
The added tension of the mystery surrounding the murders enhances the story. Add in the fact they’re seducing her while in prison just makes it that much better. The creativity they came up with to find private places was great.
Oh and the name of the book is perfect. Patricia is older than both Ricky and Stu! She’s a cougar shifter and she’s a cougar! Rawr!

All around this was another homerun by Eve Langlais!

Review: Jungle Freakn’ Bride by Eve Langlais

So, I’m totally loving the Freakn’ Shifters series by Eve Langlais. There’s hot alpha shapeshifters, snarky family members and some smokin’ hot sex. What more could you want?
Jungle Freakn’ Bride is another in this series. It’s a bit different from the others in the series. This time around we don’t have anyone from the main family that is usually in the story. This time we have two members of the Moon Ghost Jaguars and a stolen bride.
Now, while I really like Eve Langlais and the Freakn’ Shifter series, this one left me wanting a bit more. I think part of the problem was I pretty much knew what was going to happen because of Human and Freakn’. The two stories are tied together and part of the Jungle Freakn’ Bride was told in the last one.
I also think it lacked a bit for me because I missed the snarkiness of the family members, especially the mother. Since no one was in the story from the main family, we missed out on that.
Now, all this being said I still enjoyed the story. We have two hot alpha male shifters and a very feisty female. It was fun watching Carlie read them the riot act. She didn’t hold anything back! And believe me, they deserved it.
Acat and Chaob are awesome. They’re a mix of old and new. They follow the traditions of their tribe while at the same time, they have a foot in the modern world. It’s a good thing too, because Carlie is definitely a modern girl!
There’s a couple of surprises in this one that bring a new twist to Eve Langlais’s shifter stories.

Can’t wait for Freakn’ Cougar!

Review: Human and Freakn’ by Eve Langlais

We continue the Freakn’ Shifter series with Human and Freakn’. I love shifter stories and I love this series.
Ruth is trekking through the jungle looking for her sister. Her guides are two hot shifters. Ruth, who has always been the good girl is having not so good girl thoughts and fantasies about her guides.
Kendrick and Joel find the joke’s on them when they both want to claim Ruth as their mate. The problem? Neither one wants to share and she’s human. So, not only does she not know about the shifter world, they’ll have to convince her ménage relationships are normal.
Now they have to contend with the Moon Ghost Jaguars. Joel and Kendrick have to fight to keep Ruth. If they lose the fight, they lose Ruth.
This was a lot of fun. We meet a new group of shifters. These shifters aren’t like the shifters we’re used to. They have different views of the world and a different way of doing things. In many ways it was refreshing and fun.
Ruth was great. She’s outside of her comfort zone and doing everything she has to in order to save her sister. She realizes what she wants, Kendrick and Joel, and is willing to go for it.
Joel and Kendrick are just as awesome. They’re hot, they’re fun and fighting destiny. Watching them fall was so much fun.

Once again Eve Langlais brought us a great shifter story!

Review: Already Freakn’ Mated by Eve Langlais

Chris FINALLY found his mate. Problem? She’s married!
Chris is in agony. He found his mate and he wants her. The problem is she’s already married to a stick in the mud. Jiao also wants to be with Chris, but she can’t. Sheng stops her at every opportunity. But then Sheng finds his mate. What’s a shifter to do? It’s all so convoluted!
Once again Eve Langlais brought to life some interesting characters that pop off the page of the book. The story draws you in and keeps you reading. You can’t put it down.
Chris is an amazing character. He has honor and integrity but when he finds his mate, all bets are off. He tries to do the right thing. He wants to do the right thing. It’s just so hard. His wolf is pulling at him, demanding he claim his mate.
Jiao is in an even more difficult situation. She’s married. She’s hiding. Her past can get them all hurt. But she wants to live. She wants to be with her mate.
Sheng is in a similar situation. He’s found his mate, but like Jiao, his past can bring them all down.
But you can count on Chris’s family to do whatever it takes to keep family safe and help them be with their mates. They rally around them wreak a little havoc!

I truly love this series. Eve Langlais has become one of my favorite authors.

Review: Howling Heart by April Bostic

Riley and Paige met 13 years ago when they were young and Paige’s family was on vacation in Black River, Co. Now she’s inherited her father’s cabin there and she’s back to figure out what to do. She runs into Riley again and things take off.
There is such potential in this story and the series. However, it just didn’t happen for me. Some of the concepts April Botic brings into this shape shifting story are unique. First, they are not humans that transform into wolves, they are wolves that appearhuman. Second, the Beta of the pack is the Alpha’s son. It’s not the person who is best for that position. Third, how they became shape shifters and what allows them to shift was unique as well. There were some other unique items, but I’m going to focus on these three.
Other things about the Pack were similar to other shape shifting stories and it gave a level comfort with the story.
So, what didn’t work for me? Riley was the Beta because of his father. Not because he was best for the position. He would one day be Alpha, but I never got the alpha vibe off him. I felt more like he was a whiny 12 year old pouting because he didn’t get his way.
We also have the fact they are wolves who appear human. Which was pretty neat. However, in the course of the story, Riley asks Paige if she would mate with him in his wolf form. She’s human. Ewww…. I could not handle discussing that. It really bothered me. There is no sex between Riley and Paige when he’s in wolf form but they do discuss it! Also, she’ll give birth to wolf pups, not humans. Ewww….. No, it doesn’t happen in the story but they did discuss it.
Now the why and how they shift was very cool. I liked the story and thought it fit. However, when Riley got hurt I kind of felt like a reason was needed to make things fit together. It felt forced and not natural to the story.

I was really looking forward to this story and had high hopes for it. The concepts were unique and it has promise.
