Review: In Tune By Laramie Briscoe

When Cash Montgomery and Harper Stillwell decided to take a chance on a fling, neither one knew where it would take them. From the highest of highs to the lowest of lows, they are clawing their way back to the kind of relationship they have both fought so hard for.

Cash can forgive, but he can’t forget. Harper can apologize, but she can’t express her true feelings.

Growing up is hard—just because you reach an age where the world says you’re an adult doesn’t mean you are. These two are figuring out that life only gets more difficult the older you get, they are learning that love comes at a price, and they are deciding whether it’s worth fighting for.

After the Collision—they’re desperately trying to figure out if they can ever be in tune.

I have got to admit, I really enjoyed this trilogy more than I originally thought I would. Each book drew me in more and more, I need more of Cash and Harper’s relationship.  I wanted to know if they were going to make it, if Cash would be able to take care of Remy, if Harper would be able to open her feelings up, and if Cash would be able to fix what he broke.
The way that Ms. Briscoe has not only showed that even if you are struggling in life, that if you don’t give up, if you have someone to encourage you along the way, things will work out.  Life isn’t always easy.  People struggle to make rent,  put food on the table, to do the right thing even if it means the easier thing would be to just let someone else handle it.  I love how she also proves that family doesn’t mean only blood.  Family is those you allow to be your family, the ones who have your back, who will always be there for you, who will help out when you need them, that those are the people who are your family.

I am sad to see that the trilogy has come to an end.  I hope that we will continue to see more of Cash, Harper and Remy in the Heaven Hill series.  The trilogy is now complete, so if you have been waiting to check it out, make sure that you go and get all three books asap.  Laramie Briscoe knows how to make her readers fall in love with her characters and have her readers crave for more.

Review: Flagger By Laramie Briscoe

Fast Cars
Broken homes
Vulnerable hearts

Cash Montgomery likes fast cars, fast women, and living his life only as far as he can see with his own two eyes. There are very few people in his life who he answers to. One of them being his little brother Remington (Remy).

When Cash and Remy are forced to make a life-changing decision they no longer have a place to live, no idea where their next meal is going to come from, or any prospects as to how they will make it. They need help.

That help comes in the form of the Heaven Hill MC and Harper Stillwell.

Harper Stillwell comes with her own set of problems, but when she and Cash Montgomery meet, sparks fly.

None of them know what they’re doing, where they will end up, or how they’ll get there. The only thing they know is that the race for their lives is only beginning—the flag is waving—and they have to hang on for the ride.

While Flagger is a separate trilogy from the Heaven Hill MC series and it can be read as a standalone; I recommend that you take the time to read the other series if not first then shortly afterwards because there is a cross over that may make you understand who is who a little bit better.  That being said, it is only my personal suggestion.  I have read the entire Heaven Hill series so far so I knew who certain people were prior to beginning Flagger.  Let’s get down to business now shall we?
Flagger is the first book in the Red Bird Trail trilogy and what a way to start!  I lately have had a thing about racing books, oh hell let’s be honest here I love to race in real life and while I may have settled down some since I had kids I still love the thrill of driving fast, knowing that you are in control of how fast you can go.  Cash Montgomery is oh so sexy, he knows he is a badass on the track and let’s face it he’s just a badass period because of how he takes care of his little brother Remy.  I would love to be in the seat next to him during a race, or even afterward, that Harper is a lucky girl.  Harper has her own issues that she is dealing with but her and Cash connect in more than a sexual way, it is almost like the fates conspired for these two to be what not only saves the other but to show what real love is.
Laramie Briscoe is an author that I started reading by chance but continue to read because I know I will get a great book out of her; one that will have me going back for seconds, thirds, fourths, oh hell will have me going back to read whatever it is she plans to write because she has cemented me as a fan for life.  Like I said you don’t have to read the Heaven Hill series first, but if you want a little more background on the characters and get some glimpses of Cash himself in those books I think you will see why I keep coming back for more.

Blog Tour: Exotic Racing Crusader By Jordana Mia Lezamy

EXOTIC CARS MEET A LOVE STORY “NOTHING IN LIFE IS A COINCIDENCE” It was the day of a special occasion in my life, when my entire future was rewritten and set on a new course Or was this always part of destiny that I believed you cannot run from? My Destiny. Now Ours. Together. Exclusively. As I watched him at the show I never planned on attending – I was certain of one thing about his velocity: ONLY GOD is capable of catching him. The moment we met, there was no looking back on a past life down a darkened and lonely road any longer. Before him I had never dated anyone. Before him I lead a normal good-girl life. With him my plus size curves and unique facial features are loved and adored beyond a passionate and lustful extent Beside him I became queen to the messiah of an exotic cars racing universe I defied heaven for As fate would have it, regrets collected like old friends ready to relive both our darkest moments It’s always darkest before the dawn, but to see the sunrise at the end of the finish line, there are SEVEN words of a pledge barricading the way: Oath Griffin Blood Hypersonic Racers Breakneck League Cauterized words onto his soul that will decide if he is either a villain or a savior The ultimate sacrifice must be made by him alone Which will he choose? Which will he let go of? Which means more? This is our journey This is where our racing legacy with fast cars begin. Contemporary, Erotica, New Adult, Romance : Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.
Exotic Racing Crusaderis the first book in the series and I will admit I was impressed by how much I really enjoyed this book.  Lately I have noticed that I have been back into another streak of books that just didn’t work for me or I just didn’t like.  So when I had started this one, I was skeptical but went in with an open mind.  The slow buildup of the story line worked really well for this book, it was a risk because sometimes it can deter readers from wanting to continue if you go to slow.  The way the author builds you up was like a race, you may start off slowly but the closer that you get to the finish line you start vying for position and then fight for your finish and you get this rush once you cross the finish line.  Okay my racing analogy may not be perfect but I think you will get my meaning.
I really am looking forward to the next book so that we can continue to see Titan and Kaidence’s relationship.  This author is brand new, and for her to be able to find that perfect mix that makes a book great with her debut novel, well then she is one that readers need to be on the lookout for because if the rest of her books are just as great or better than Exotic Racing Crusader, then we will all be in from a treat that is for certain.
