Blog Tour: Tainted Deception By Aleya Michelle

Ivy Maisen thinks she knows exactly what type of guy Chase Hudson is — billionaire, extremely good looking, cocky as hell, and a guy that women salivate over…
But looks can be deceiving…

Underneath the tuxedo, luxurious demeanor and smooth character is a bad boy covered in tattoos, piercings, the lead singer in a band, and he owns three of the clubs that Ivy frequents.

Oh and he rides a Harley…
Will Ivy finally open her eyes and allow herself to see the real Chase or will she reject his alter-ego and refuse his advances again and again?

When desire is tainted with deception and lies, does that person become less desirable?
Could love be the one thing powerful enough to push them past the deception and down to the real person underneath the facade?

When trying out a new author it is always a gamble.  What I mean by that is sometimes you find a winner, and sometimes you lose big time.  Well this time I found another winner!  Tainted Deception by Aleya Michelle was a winner for sure.  I mean hello what is not to love?  We have a rockstar billionaire!  A double whammy if I may say in the book boyfriend department.  I want a Chase/Chaser (read the book you will understand what I mean) of my very own!  Move over Ivy I am willing to fight you for him!
I am not going to divulge into the entire storyline because I want you all to just go and pick up this one and find out for yourself why Tainted Deception will have you not only wishing for a Chase of your very own but will remind you to never judge a book by it’s cover.  You never know what you may find under a tuxedo, it could be a tattooed rocker, who ends up the perfect man for you.  Make sure you have added this one to your TBR lists, I think you all will end up loving it.

Blog Tour: Resist By Heather C. Leigh

All Gavin Walker, bass player for the multi-platinum selling band, Sphere of Irony, wants to do is surf, play music, and occasionally get laid. The problem is that Gavin has a stalker. A potentially deadly one. The threats he receives always mention something about Gavin being gay, which isn’t public knowledge since the record label wants to keep it quiet.

Mitch Hale used to track serial killers for the FBI. A live-changing incident led him to quit the bureau and start his own company providing computerized security for Los Angeles’ wealthiest people. Mitch doesn’t know anyone when he moves across the country from D.C. to California, and all he has for companionship is a pathetic string of failed relationships with women.
When Gavin’s manager hires Mitch to find the stalker, the men instantly hate each other. Despite the constant fighting, attraction between the two blazes hot, confusing the former FBI agent. Spending time with Gavin forces Mitch reflect on what he’s denied about himself for the last ten years. Listening to Mitch’s plan to catch a madman thrusts Gavin’s personal life out in the open for the entire world to see.
Can Gavin and Mitch stop fighting long enough to stop a stalker before someone gets hurt? Or will they stubbornly resist the feelings that develop when they’re forced to work together?
This is book 3 in a 4 part series. It is a spin-off of the Famous Series. These can be read as standalones.

Resist is the third book in the series and even though I have read the previous two books, it can be read as a standalone.  So if you haven’t had the opportunity to read this series yet now is the perfect time because not only is this a standalone, it is one sexy m/m read.  Oh and I used to watch Criminal Minds religiously and if you were a fan of that t.v. show I think you will be reminded of it with Resist. I bet you are asking yourself why I would say that, well hello ex FBI profiler!  Oh and hello sexy as hell bass player!  This is one hot book, let me say that again. This is one hot book!
I loved the buildup between Gavin and Mitch, I just knew that these two would not only heat up the sheets but make panties wet, and they did!  I loved how they built not only a friendship but trust as well, now don’t get me wrong I love when there is that instant attraction and sex but sometimes the buildup is what makes it so much better.
There was just enough of the suspense elements that it didn’t take away from Gavin and Mitch coming together.  (Oh stop with the dirty minds I didn’t mean it that way, well this time I didn’t lol).  Mind you Gavin’s stalker was what brought Mitch into his life, but it was the perfect element to the storyline in my opinion.
I think each book in this series has gotten better and better.  Resist is one you will be unable to resist reading over and over again.

Strike (Book Two) The Sphere of Irony Series

Before I can ask any more questions, there’s a knock and the door opens a crack. “Mr. Evans, Mr. Hale is here.”
“Send him in please, Donna.” Ross stands and adjusts his suit, straightening out the cuffs and fixing his expensive tie until it lays just so.
I rake a hand over my hair, but it’s pointless. I’m lucky I bothered to shower this morning after my company left. I’m sure I look like shit—with the lack of sleep and the constant stress I’m surprised I don’t look worse.
Good genes, I guess. I frown at the thought of my father.
I can hear Donna outside. “Go right on in.”
The door opens and a man enters. No, not just a man. A gorgeous man. Stunning, actually. For the second time in five minutes, my jaw hangs open.
The man is a study in opposites. His hair, swept back from his face and so dark it’s nearly black, is paired with bright slate grey eyes, a color I’ve never seen before. He looks rugged and dangerous, as if he could kill a man with his bare hands. Yet he’s wearing a tailored and expensive charcoal grey suit that showcases his body to perfection. He’s rough and he’s polished.
And I can’t stop staring.
“Mr. Hale, thank you so much for coming on such short notice.”
Ross has circled the table and is shaking the man’s hand.
“Call me Mitch, please.”
Jesus, even his voice is hot. Deep and silky, it’s as smooth as fine whiskey.
“This is Gavin Walker,” Ross introduces me, stepping aside.
It takes both of them staring at me and an uncomfortably long silence for me to realize I’m still gawking. Embarrassed, I snap my mouth shut.
“Sorry.” Jumping up from my chair, I extend a hand. “Gavin Walker. Thanks for coming.”
He clasps his hand around mine, large and hot and coarse, and pumps it firmly. “Mitch Hale, good to meet you. Wish it were under better circumstances.”
He smiles and I have the sudden urge to rub myself all over his beautiful, hard body. Heat spreads up from our joined hands, sending a flush of pleasure over my skin.
Mitch clears his throat and glances down where I’m still clutching his hand. Shit. I let go, flinching back in humiliation. I jam my hand into the pocket of my jeans, fingering the smooth, heart-shaped stone I keep there.
“Let’s sit.” Ross directs Mitch to the conference table. “Drink?”
Mitch holds up a hand. “I’m good.” I catch the slightest twitch in one of Mitch’s intriguing eyes.
“Okay. Here is the file we have so far.” Ross pushes a folder across the table.
Mitch opens it, scanning the contents. Waiting for him to read about the stalker that’s been harassing me is humiliating, yet it gives me a chance to study the man further. I should resist staring, but I can’t. He’s too gorgeous to ignore.
I flick my gaze over to Ross, who is busy returning emails on his laptop. Good. I don’t want Ross to catch me ogling the new guy. When my eyes land back on Mitch, I have to hold in a groan.
This guy is trying to kill me.
As he flips through the pages in the file—photos, descriptions, police reports—the end of his very wet, very pink tongue pokes out between his lips. Every once in a while, it sneaks back in so he can pull that lush red bottom lip between his teeth, biting on it in concentration.
Jesus. As subtly as I can, I shift on the chair to adjust the semi pressing against my pants.
More contradictions. That tongue, the biting of the lip, both so playful and innocent against the serious image he projects with the suit and the perfectly styled hair and the—I inhale deeply—hint of designer aftershave.
Suddenly, Mitch closes the folder and sits up, folding his hands on top of it. I jerk away, sitting back in my chair instead of leaning halfway over the table like a besotted teenage girl.
“This man is not to be taken lightly,” he cautions, his intelligent gaze traveling back and forth between Ross’ and mine.
Ross closes his laptop, giving Mitch his full attention. “We’re not taking it lightly. Gavin has security with him at all times since the…” Ross glances at me, “the incident in New York.”
“And before that?” Mitch asks. I stare at the hard line of his jaw then drop my eyes down to the curve of his throat where it disappears into the top of his crisp dress shirt. I pray that he doesn’t see the way my hands shake or the heat prickling my face as lust washes over me.
“Before that we weren’t documenting anything we received, just throwing them away. They were mostly letters, gifts…” Ross trails off.
“But no involvement by law enforcement?”
My eyes bounce back and forth between the two men.
Ross sighs. “Not until the New York incident.” When Mitch scowls, a look that makes him look even more dangerous and a hell of a lot sexier, Ross elaborates. “Do you know how many crazy fans are out there? Hell, Adam gets over a hundred bizarre gifts and letters a week. That’s just the strange ones. Plus, keeping this out of the media is important to the record label.”
Mitch nods. “I understand. I’m not judging. I’m just trying to get a feel for what I’ll be dealing with. That includes how long law enforcement has been checking into this guy.”
“Not long,” I whisper, surprised to hear myself speak. I’m used to being discussed as if I’m not in the room. It comes with the job—decisions made for you without your input.
Two sets of eyes focus on me and I feel my cheeks blaze hot. That intense grey stare has me squirming, and this time it’s not from embarrassment. Another rush of heat ripples down my spine. I run my hands through my hair to catch the beads of sweat that have popped up on my temples.
Mitch opens his mouth to say something then snaps it shut. He blinks a few times before speaking. “Tell me how this began, Gavin. What you’ve noticed personally.”
“Shit, how long do you have?” I scoff.
The corner of Mitch’s mouth quirks up. “I have time.” He puts two fingers into the collar of his shirt and tugs gently.
The subtle motion brings images of Mitch tearing off his clothes, sending another wave of sizzling need through me. Nodding, I take a sip of water to cool down the desire inspired by Mitch’s proximity.
Ross’ cell phone rings, startling me. I fumble with the glass, nearly spilling it.
“Damn. Sorry.”
This time, Mitch smiles. My eyes fixate on that mouth as his lips part to reveal two rows of perfect teeth.
“I have to take this,” Ross confesses. He glances over. “You okay to do this without me?”
No. I’m not okay. You’re going to leave me in a room with one of the hottest guys I’ve ever seen while I’m a nervous, blundering wreck.
That’s what I’m thinking. What I say isn’t even close.
“Yeah. I’m good.”
Ross stares at Mitch. “I’ll be back to discuss the specifics of your contract.”
“No problem,” Mitch agrees. Leaning back in his chair, he crosses one ankle over his knee.
Now he’s given me a direct view of his crotch, hugged tight by those tailored grey slacks. There’s a lot to look at. Jesus. If what I’m seeing isn’t an illusion, he is hung. I don’t realize that I’m staring right at Mitch’s dick until his leg drops and he leans forward, elbows on his knees.
“It’s okay to be nervous.”
Blinking, I look up to see those deep gunmetal eyes waiting patiently for me to respond.
“Ummmm, I’m not nervous.”
I am, but not for the reasons you think.
Mitch puts his large hands back up on the table, his eye twitching again. “Do you mind if I get a drink?” He gestures towards the tray Donna set out.
“Not at all.”
“So,” he continues as he removes his jacket, hangs it over his chair, and circles the table. “Tell me about the letters.”
Mitch picks up a mug, turning his back to me to prepare his coffee. My mouth goes dry at the sight of his perfect, round ass showcased by the tight grey fabric that clings to every curve.
I can’t do this here with him. Alone. With that ass, those eyes, and the scent of whatever cologne he’s wearing. My brain won’t function properly while bombarded from all sides by filthy sexual fantasies starring Mitch.
“I-I forgot. I have somewhere to be.”
Jumping up, I catch a surprised expression on Mitch’s face right before I bolt out the door.

Release Blitz: Be The One By Nina Levine

Jett Vaughn has one thing on his mind these days – Presley Hart.  He will do anything it takes to make her his.  At least, he thinks he will.
Presley Hart wants one thing in life – a man who will make her his number one.  After being married to a man who never put her first, she swore she’d never settle for second best again.  At least, she thought she wouldn’t.
When Jett’s life comes crashing down around him, his flaws are laid bare for all to see.  Presley stands by her man but there’s only so much she can do to help him.  She loves him and wants to be with him but she has her limits and Jett’s about to reach them.
In the midst of hurt, loss and destruction, can love win out?  Can a man who is struggling to find his way, show the woman he loves just how much he wants her to be the one?  Or is there only so much a heart can take before enough’s enough?
If you haven’t read All Your Reasons yet, then make sure you do because it is the beginning of Jett and Presley’ s story and must be read prior to starting Be The One.  Trust me you will want to see how these two get together.
Now I am going to make this review short and sweet because I am worried that I will give spoilers away and I obviously do not want to do that out of respect for the author.  Just be prepared because this one will make your heart break, cry, smile, make your panties wet, and will possible have you throwing your kindle a time or five.  At least I did.  If you have read anything by Nina Levine before you know that she doesn’t make love easy, because let’s face it love isn’t easy in real life and it shouldn’t be easy in fiction either.  And that is just one reason why I love reading her books because I know I am in for one hell of a ride.
Make sure you read All The Reasons and then jump right into Be The One because you do not want to miss this newest release about a sexy as hell rocker and the sassy female that is perfect for him.  Seriously though this one is hot but emotional so make sure you have some tissues handy because there are parts when you will need them for sure.

I squeeze him and then drop to my knees to take him into my mouth. After I treat him to my mouth and tongue for a moment, I let him go and take him back into my hand. Looking up at him, I suggest, “That might be something I would let you boss me around on.”
His hands grab me under my arms and pull me up. He lifts me and turns around to deposit me on the vanity. After I’ve wrapped my legs around him, he kisses me hard and growls, “I did consider bossing you into sucking my dick for longer but it turns out I want inside of your pussy more than your mouth.”
“Turns out I want that, too. You gonna take care of that or are you all talk and no action?”
His eyes flash heat at me and he hisses. Running his finger over my lips, he says, “I’ve fucking missed this dirty mouth. I’m not sure what I like more – the words coming out of it or the way it fits perfectly around my cock.”
I dig my fingernails into his back and pull him closer. “I tell you what, you hurry up and get that cock of yours inside me and I’ll treat you to both words and tongue all day long.”
“Jesus fucking Christ, woman, I’m going to bang you so fucking hard you might not be able to speak for the rest of the day.” He positions his cock at my entrance and I try to push myself even further against him so I can force it in, but he’s teasing me and pulls away at the last moment.
“I’m game if you are,” I practically beg him. “Let’s see what you’ve got, Mr. Rockstar.”
His hungry eyes are all over me and it’s like a switch is flipped and he can’t hold back any longer. He thrusts in and my eyes roll back in my head. He wasn’t kidding when he said he was going to fuck me hard. Hard is what I just got. And I’m in fucking heaven.

When heartbreaker meets ball breaker, sparks will fly.

Rockstar, Jett Vaughn, isn’t against settling down, but no woman has ever held his attention long enough for a relationship to develop. That is until he meets Presley Hart. She’s confident, opinionated and headstrong. She drives him to the edge of crazy, but he can’t deny how she makes him feel.

He wants her heart, but she only wants his body.

Presley’s not against giving her heart to a man, but she has too many reasons why he’s not the one to give it to. Jett isn’t a man who will take no for an answer though. He’s about to declare war on her reasons and take what he wants.

Blog Tour: Strike By Heather C. Leigh

Dax Davies has one job to fulfill in the Davies household. Earn money at the family business. The problem is that the family business was illegal underground fighting.

From a young age, Dax and his brothers are groomed to become money earners in their father’s club. Broken bones and bruises are commonplace. Their father pits the brothers against each other to ‘toughen them up’ for the ring, using his rules to bend his sons to his will. His future is in the cage, not on stage where he dreams of making music.

Kate Campbell loves one thing in life. Well, two. Soccer and Dax Davies. Growing up in the poorest part of London, soccer is her personal escape from reality and from the fact that Dax doesn’t seem to know she exists. She figures if she can be good enough at soccer, maybe she can get away from Hackney, and leave the poverty behind.

Kate doesn’t plan on ever getting to know Dax as more than a passing acquaintance. In fact, she isn’t meant to go with her friend to Dax’s father’s business, but that one night changes everything.

***This is book 2 in the Sphere of Irony Series. It can be read as a standalone. This is a spin-off of the Famous Series***

I’m seriously considering taking a month off from reviewing to catch up on previous books in series that I didn’t have time to read prior to reading a book for a tour or blitz.  Once again I think I may have missed out on a series that would be added to my automatic must read list.  Strike is a standalone, so if you are like me and just haven’t had the time to read the previous book don’t worry you won’t be lost.  For me it’s a weird OCD issue that will force me to take the time and read the previous book.
I am not going to get deep in my review nor will it be super long.  It will actually be pretty quick because I don’t want to give any spoilers away and I am actually having a hard time writing this review for some reason.  Don’t take that last statement as a negative because that is the farthest from the truth.  I really really liked Strike.  I think I am having trouble finding the right words because me just saying this was one hot read, or omg you have to read this book just won’t do.  Although both of those reasons would be valid ones to read this book.  I am going to say this.  There is drama, there is sexiness, there is history that defines who these characters are, and there is love.  I was never bored while reading Strike and it kept my attention the entire time I was reading.  Honestly the best thing I can say this is just a really damn good book, and I highly recommend that you add it to your TBR lists immediately.

Excerpt. Dax and Kate’s 1st kiss. Kate’s POV.

Before I can blink, Dax’s huge, calloused hands are framing my face and his mouth brushes across mine. At first it’s just a whisper, a tease, the contact barely there. Then, I hear him inhale sharply and his lips press down forcefully, melding with mine, urging me to open up with quick flicks of his tongue. I melt against his solid body as he dominates the kiss, completely under his spell to do with as he wishes. It seems to go on and on—a small slice of paradise in this blighted spot of East London.

When he finally pulls back, greedily stealing a few more nips at my mouth, he closes his eyes and moans. “I knew you’d taste like heaven. You’re an angel, I just knew it.” His voice is so quiet I wonder if he meant to say it out loud.

Naturally, I stand there like an idiot, saying nothing… doing nothing. I’ve been kissed into complete stupidity.

Dax swipes the pad of his thumb over my damp lips. “See you at school tomorrow.” Without giving me a single hint of what he’s thinking, he turns and leaves. I touch my mouth, running a finger over the same spot Dax touched. My heart leaps into my throat, fluttering so fast I fear it may explode.

Great. I’m ruined. My first kiss and it was nothing less than brilliant. Dax Davies just ruined me for every other man from now until the day I die.

Book Tour: Sweet Ache By K. Bromberg

The New York Timesbestselling author of Slow Burn turns up the heat when a sexy bet turns into so much more….
Hawkin Play, the bad boy rock star with a good guy heart, has lived a lifetime of cleaning up after his twin brother’s mistakes. Hunter’s most recent screwup could land Hawke in jail and risk the band’s future. Hawke agrees to guest lecture at a local college to stay in the judge’s good graces—and a bet with his bandmate to seduce his sexy teaching assistant is icing on the cake.
Quinlan Westin is harder to bed than Hawke imagined. She knows his type and is determined to avoid the rocker at all costs—even if their attraction runs deeper than simple lust.

Just as Hawke might finally be winning over the girl, his brother has other plans. When Hunter realizes his twin finally has a weakness, he’ll stop at nothing to take advantage….

When I signed up for Sweet Ache I had every intention of finally reading the Driven series, I have had the first two books on my kindle for a very long time but I just couldn’t find enough time to start this series from the first book like I wanted to.  Am I regretting it?  Yes and no.  Yes because it appears that I have missed out one hell of a good series and no because while I may have been a tad bit lost I quickly overcame that and just really enjoyed reading about Hawkin and Quinlan’s story.
I didn’t expect this to be such an emotional read for me.  Like I said I hadn’t read this author’s previous books but if this is how she draws you in with the previous books, consider me addicted.  I laughed, I cried, I smiled, I frowned, ad I laughed and cried some more.  Don’t even get me started on the explosive sexual chemistry between these two, good lord I thought for a second there I would spontaneously combust.  There are a few other surprises as well but out of respect for the author my lips are sealed as to what those surprises may be, just read the book to find out.

I can safely say that K. Bromberg has a new fan in me.  If you are a fan of the Driven series then I think that Sweet Ache will not disappoint you at all.  If you are like me and new to this series and author well then make the time to read the books from the start because now I am wishing I had.
Mass Market Paperback:

Well, shit. Guess there’s not going to be any calm before the next storm. I look at my brother and sigh.

I hit the road, drive for what feels like hours. I don’t know where I’m going or what I’m looking to find, but as long as I keep moving, my past can’t catch up to me.

At least it’s a good idea in theory because I can’t outrun this shit. The stuff I want to and the stuff I don’t want to.

I end up the one place I used to go to be alone, to think, and as I stare at the Hollywood sign from my seat on the grass at the Griffith Park Observatory, I love the feeling that I’m this little person in this big world. The idea comforts me some. The notion that on the grand scale of things my problems are minute. Someone out there has it way worse.

And no one expects a rock star to be here so with my hat pulled low on my head, I’m able to disappear.

I stare down below to the city where as a little boy, scared and traumatized, I wondered how all of the dreams inside my head could ever see the light of day when I felt like I had the responsibility of the world on my small shoulders. But I did. And I made it.

So why do I feel like I’m still not enough? For my brother? To make my mother better? For Quinlan to even want me beyond the killer sex we have? For the fans who scream and sing my lyrics like they live them when they have no fucking clue the meaning behind the words?

I scrub my hands over my face, needing a drink, craving an ice cream cone, and wanting the feeling of Quinlan’s arms wrapped around me as she silently sits there and just is with me.

My mind veers to Hunter. I push the guilt away, hold on to my gut check rationalization that he deserved it, and realize that’s the trouble I’m having here. Going with my gut versus going with the bullshit promises I’ve lived by forever.

My stomach churns and my head feels like Gizmo’s banging the hell out of it with his sticks. I shove up off the grass, needing to get the fuck out of here, my heart and head in conflict and for the first time in forever I dare to think what could happen if my heart finally won for once.

Blog Tour: Deep By Kylie Scott

Positive. With two little lines on a pregnancy test, everything in Lizzy Rollins’ ordinary life is about to change forever. And all because of one big mistake in Vegas with Ben Nicholson, the irresistibly sexy bass player for Stage Dive. So what if Ben’s the only man she’s ever met who can make her feel completely safe, cherished, and out of control with desire at the same time? Lizzy knows the gorgeous rock star isn’t looking for anything more permanent than a good time, no matter how much she wishes differently.
Ben knows Lizzy is off limits. Completely and utterly. She’s his best friend’s little sister now, and no matter how hot the chemistry is between them, no matter how sweet and sexy she is, he’s not going to go there. But when Ben is forced to keep the one girl he’s always had a weakness for out of trouble in Sin City, he quickly learns that what happens in Vegas, doesn’t always stay there. Now he and Lizzie are connected in the deepest way possible…but will it lead to a connection of the heart?
Stage Dive fans have been waiting to read Ben’s story since book one.  He is the brother to the woman we all wanted to bitch slap in Lick, or at least I did.  He is the one that seems quieter, well compared to David, Mal and Jimmy that is.  I knew that his book was going to be more than the final in the Stage Diveseries, but what I didn’t expect was that I would be so enthralled from the very first page until the last that when it ended I actually cried a little.  I have read each book since the series started numerous times since it came out and I will be adding Deep to that list as well.
Ben and Lizzy’s story was funny, sad and at times it made you want to reach into your kindle and absolutely beat the living hell out of Ben.  Read the book trust me you will understand why I wanted to beat not just him but that bitch sister of his as well. Lizzy wasn’t perfect either but since she’s pregnant I won’t do imaginary violence on her lol.  I even wanted to smack Mal a couple of times.  Let’s just say this book brought out my emotions and I loved every second of it.
I am going to miss this series.  I still remember the first time I read Lick, and now I will remember the first time I read Deep, and if you haven’t figured out that I will be rereading this series a lot well then I don’t know how much more clearer I could be.  I am excited to see what Kylie Scott has in store for her readers next because I just know that it will be another great series that will have her readers begging for more.

“C’mon. How have you been, really? What’s been going on with you?” he pushed. I frowned at him and he frowned right back. “Liz, please.”
I groaned in defeat. “All right, I suck.”
“Why do you suck?”
“So very many reasons.” I pushed my hair back from my face—no more hiding. “Pregnancy sucks. It’s natural, my ass. I finally stop throwing up, but I’m tired all the time. Giving up coffee was horrendous. None of my clothes fit right because of these stupid breasts, and they ache constantly. I have to pee like every thirty seconds, and then to top it off, I cry every time the Healthy Hound ad comes on. It’s ridiculous”
Little wrinkles appeared either side of his nose. “You cry at a dog food ad?”
“Yes. The puppies jump all over each other to get to their mother and it’s just so beautiful, with their cute little tails wagging and everything.”
He just stared at me.
“I know its psycho, Ben. Believe me, I’m well aware of this.”
“Hey, it’s fine.” He covered a smile with his hand. Too late, the bastard.
“You try dealing with all these hormones going apeshit. Crap. Apeshoot.”
“I’m trying not to swear,” I explained. “You want the first word our child comes out with to be something bad?”
“No. Gotcha.” The man was incredibly bad at hiding a grin. “No swearing.”

Release Day Blitz: All Your Reasons By Nina Levine

The first book in Nina Levine’s NEW rockstar series!

There are certain authors that we all find then when you find out that they are releasing a new series that you just get all excited over.  Nina Levine is one of those authors for me.  I love how she gets her hooks into her fans and somehow makes us love all of her books, but not just all the books overall, but from the very first in a series.
All Your Reasonsin the first in The Crave series and even with it being a novella I was not left feeling disappointed at the end because I know that this is just the beginning and I am already invested in the series.  I loved how Jett and Presley interacted from the start, I was wishing he could have given me the addiction that he wants Presley to have.  Presley has issues because of her past, but I think the way that she lets go when she is around Jett, that he is the perfect one for her.  I am really anxious to see how this will play out.  It doesn’t seem to be your typical rockstar book and I am loving it so far.  I think fans of her other books will love All Your Reasons as well.

He slowly moves his face away from mine and drinks some of his drink.  As he places the glass back on the bar, he says, “I’m Jett.”

A smile tugs at his lips.  “Your parents are Elvis fans?”

“My mother is and my father is blinded by love.  She could have called me Elvis and he wouldn’t have blinked.”

This inspires a laugh out of him.  “Your parents are still happily married?”

“Yeah, go figure.  How many marriages do you know of that are still going strong after thirty years?”

His eyes twinkle.  “My parents are still happy after thirty-five years.  I guess you and I are like some weird science experiment.  It kinda sucks, really.”

Frowning, I ask, “Why?”

He throws the rest of his drink back, his eyes still twinkling.  “When you don’t come from a fucked-up family, you can hardly blame your issues on your parents, can you?  Nope, you and me, we have to own our fucking issues.”

I burst out laughing.  “You are so right.  Shit, pass me my drink, I can’t cope with this knowledge.”

Shaking his head, he holds my drink away from me.  “Bad idea, sweetheart.  You have no one to blame your alcoholism on except yourself.  I suggest you give up alcohol straight away and find a new vice that’s not as socially unacceptable as alcohol addiction.”

Oh, this is fun.  I raise my eyebrows.  “What do you suggest?”

He doesn’t even hesitate.  “Sex addiction.  Take that shit up.  Much easier to hide from public view.  And a lot more fucking fun than dealing with hangovers.”

“I wouldn’t know the first thing about taking that up.  You think you could help me with that?”

He pulls a face like it’s the hardest question he’s ever been asked.  Nodding, he says, “Sure.  You want to get started now?”

My core clenches at the thought, and I lean into him and say, “You’ve no idea how much I want to get started on that now, Jett.”

He sucks in a breath, and his hand curls around my neck.  “You sure?  Because once I’m finished with you, you’re going to have an addiction that will be hard to kick.”

Blog Tour: Savage Stalker by Kathleen Kelly

Katarina Saunders, Kat to the world, international rock star. Lead singer for The Grinders. Until she has an accident that ruins her career and sends her running into the mountains, away from everything and everyone.

Dane Reynolds, President of the Savage Angels MC. Fierce, strong and loyal. He’s had his eye on Kat for a while now and had been waiting for her to come to him but he’s had enough of waiting. He’s decided it’s time to make her his. But so has her Stalker, he’s been waiting for far too long…….

Can Dane save Kat? Or will her Savage Stalker get to her first?

This is going to be a hard review for me to type.  Why is that you ask?  Well, it is because I am torn about how I feel about Savage Stalker.  It started off pretty good, had me interested in it almost immediately, but slowly it started to go down hill.  Again why you ask?  There are many reasons.  One being that there were so many different POV’s from everyone from Dane’s fellow members of the MC to all of Kat’s bandmates that it’s not only gets confusing but at times just plain ridiculous.  Another reason was Kat herself, she just was too bipolar in switching of personality traits that it was hard, at least for me to really feel much for her besides irritation.  I loved Dane, he saved this book from it being one I absolutely hated.
Now, while I may not have overly liked Savage Stalker, it did make me want to give the next book in the series a chance once it comes out.  First books in a series can sometimes be rough because you are being introduced to the character’s and the world they live in and I think that in this case there was just way to much going on all at once.  It wasn’t a bad read, let me make that perfectly clear, it was just one that for me was a little bit of a letdown in my opinion.  Make your own opinion though, what may have not been great for me will be great for you.

Naughty Nooner Review: Beats (Hard Rock Harlots #2) by Kendall Grey

For months, shy drummer Jinx Hardwick has been silently crushing on her tall, dark, and scary bandmate, Toombs Badcock. Drawn to his frightening ink and scars, she yearns to uncover the shadowy secrets lurking behind his silver eyes, but Jinx is too intimidated to even look at him, let alone talk to him. When she stumbles upon Toombs and their manipulative lead guitarist Rax in a compromising position, Jinx realizes her chances of winning Toombs’s heart aren’t just a long shot—they’re nonexistent. To make matters worse, Jinx’s family needs her at home. She’s about to back away from it all—Toombs, the band, her dreams of fame and fortune—when Rax makes her an offer she can’t refuse: a no-holds-barred night alone with Toombs. There’s one small catch. She has to go through Rax to get it.
Jinx has lost her mojo, her umph, her Beats. She tries to get it back but things keep getting in the way, like her family she worries about, Rax’s advances she tries to ignore and then Toombs who she wants just for herself. Jinx has a crush on Toombs that we saw in Strings. She wants him but she’s very intimidated by Rax cause of his relationship with Toombs. When things get tough for Jinx’s family, Rax makes a proposition to Jinx that she can’t refuse.

Now from here, things for me, went OffBeats. I didn’t understand Rax’s character and I didn’t think he was like that with the way he treated Toombs and Jinx. I mean, I knew he could be an asshole but not that much of an asshole. Hopefully in the next book we get some insight on him. Toombs is a mystery and as we get to know him, little bit of his secrets are slowly revealed. I had to get my mind of out of the dom/sub and into sadist/masochist. Toombs likes to be hurt, bad. That’s his thing and Rax has/had been giving it to him and now that he isn’t it’s up for Jinx to. When the word domme is mentioned it thru me off. I don’t care for the term but I’m glad Kendall didn’t take us there and I love how Jinx asked Toombs to call her her real name instead of mistress. That I adored.

Jinx and Toombs have chemistry. The sex is hot. Hell even asshole Rax is hot. Rax and Toombs together…THUD. There are drumsticks involved and even drums which I found funny cause of the visual I had (imagine banging two dicks on a drum kit…hard). I enjoyed Beats now am impatiently waiting for Nocturnes.

OMG! Beats did me in.  I was not prepared for this to be an emotional read and I’m so glad of that because I think it hit me that much more.  My heart ached for Toombs and Jinx.  Jinx has serious feelings for Toombs and for a while she thought he felt the same way till she walked in on something she shouldn’t have.  Now she’s confused, torn, and has lost her mojo.  Not to mention things back home are rough for her family.  She’s undecided between staying with the band and fighting for her dreams or throwing it all away and heading home where she thinks she belongs.
Toombs does have feelings for her, but it’s not up to him to decide.  He and Rax are a package deal.  You don’t get one without the other.  Rax, I knew from the previous book, was a complete and utter ass.  However, I did not know the extent of it.  He’s controlling and manipulative.  He knows how much Toombs means to Jinx and he plays on her emotions.
Seriously, there are so many scenes that struck me emotionally.  But one in particular just gutted me.  My heart cried out for Toombs.
In the end I think Jinx and Toombs both came out stronger people.  And sadly, Rax just showed us all how damaged he is.  As much as he pissed me off, I am looking forward to his story.  I want to see him redeem himself.  I know there’s got to be a good guy buried in there somewhere.
This is one screwed up sex triangle (yes I said sex triangle if you want to know why I say that read the book!) that makes you want to punch someone one minute and grab your vibrator the next.  I loved the connection between Jinx and Toombs.  All Jinx wanted was to be with Toombs, Toombs wanted to be with Jinx too but it couldn’t be that simple.  Jinx had to go through Rax get to Toombs.
Jinx doubted her talent.  She had a lot on her plate that she didn’t share with anyone.  She was trying to support not only herself but help out her family back home.  She needed to prove to herself that she was as good a drummer as Toombs, and no one could do that except for herself.

Toombs broke my heart at times.  He thinks he deserves how Rax treats him at times, and he does love Rax.  He also is falling hard for Jinx.  Jinx brings out this other side of him.  I think I fell in love with Toombs while reading this book.

Rax, what can I say about Rax, he is a complete and utter douchebag that I honestly want to punt in the balls but love at the same time.  There is more to him than what we have seen so far.  He loves Toombs in his own screwed up way.  I honestly can’t wait to read his book because there is so much more to him than what we have seen.

Beats is a funny, make you scream WHAT THE FUCK type of book and if you don’t have an open mind, are easily offended or don’t have a sense of humor then then I suggest you don’t read it.  But, if you do then you will love this book.  It is also emotional and heartbreaking at times too.  I freaking loved this book!
